Public services in the capital city get appreciations from international world. This fact was revealed when Jakarta Provincial Government was invited as speaker in an event to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in Singapore last week. Other city governments that attended the forum were Pekalongan, Solo, Tiongkok, and Filipina.

“One of the things we delivered was what we’re making. Among the things we make, is how to respond citizens’ complaints through ROP (public opinion response). In general, they appreciated (public services in Jakarta). They even asked what would be done next for the development,” he told beritajakarta.com, Monday (8/11).

Their complaints are then discussed in weekly meeting before the regional work units (SKPD/UKPD) do follow ups.
At this time, Jakarta Provincial Government is also building an android application similar to SafetiPin app, which function is to give information on the conditions of regions. When it is finished, anyone can download it on Google Playstore.
“We’re developing it. Later, we can monitor where there are trashes piling, street vendors hawking their wares, or damaged roads. Everything is based on citizens’ reports,” uttered Setyowidodo.
